Painting the porch--take two

I got our paint retinted, and we put the second coat of paint on the porch today.

To refresh your memory:

Before:

After one coat:

Now:
I don't know if anyone else can tell the difference, but we definitely like it better--and that's what matters.

At some later date, we'll paint the foundation with a similar but lighter color--probably the same color we first tried on the steps.

ooo... I really like the second color. I can totally tell the difference. Thanks for sharing this link. Makes me feel better about my color problem. I have painted A LOT, and never had this happen. I suppose it was bound to happen at some point.

I've selected a lot of paint colors too. They often look darker than I expected, but never lighter. We tried a different brand of painthere, so I thought that was the problem. But your experience makes me wonder--maybe I'm just not used to using glossier paint in such a bright setting
